At The Matthews House, we are dedicated to empowering students to achieve their academic and personal goals. Our unique graduation support programs are designed to assist students within several Poudre School District High Schools, providing a lifeline for those who have faced challenges such as struggling with attendance or needing credit recovery.
We believe that every student deserves the opportunity to succeed, regardless of the obstacles they may have encountered. Our programs are tailored to meet the individual needs of each student, offering a supportive and encouraging partnership that fosters growth and success.
Unlike traditional support programs, The Matthews House takes a personalized approach. We are embedded within the schools but operate with a distinct philosophy that emphasizes:
For students who are behind schedule to graduate, we offer individualized support to help them get back on track, both during the school year and during the summer months. Our program includes personalized academic support, advocacy within the school environment, in-person support for credit recovery during the summer months, and continuous progress monitoring.
We provide targeted interventions for students struggling with attendance. Our team works to identify the underlying issues contributing to truancy and develop strategies to improve attendance and engagement.
Our dropout prevention efforts focus on re-engaging students who have left school. We offer one-on-one mentoring, academic support, and career planning to help them return to school and complete their education.
Our commitment to students doesn’t end with graduation. We prepare them for life beyond high school by:
Assisting with identifying a plan for students after graduation, including college applications, vocational training, and career exploration.
Providing training in essential life skills such as financial literacy, job readiness, and communication.
Offering continued mentorship and access to resources as students transition into adulthood.
At The Matthews House, we walk alongside our youth every step of the way. We are more than just a support program; we are a community dedicated to helping students build a brighter future.
