Sports & Athletics

Whether you’re an individual, bring a friend, or come as a group, anyone aged 13 and older are welcome to join our Pick-up Basketball Games every week. No experience is necessary, just a desire to shoot hoops and connect with friends in a sportsmanship valued environment.

Rincon de Cuentos/ Story Corner

Books, puppets, songs, children’s stories, crafts, and much more! This story time in Spanish is open to everybody, so come and learn with us! Presented by Poudre River Public Library.
Monday & Thursdays (weekly) 5pm-6pm | The Matthews House CLC
You know that Latin dances are amongst the most fun, so come and join us while we learn all sorts of dances ranging from festive dances from various regions of Mexico, to tropical rhythms like salsa, bachata and merengue!! Don’t be shy! Come alone or bring a friend! This is a free class and you are guaranteed to have fun! No experience necessary.
This fun and lively dance class is open to youth 13 -18 years of age.
Family to Family Transition Facilitation
This program is offered to families with children between 0-18 years old. You will have the opportunity to work one-on-one with one of our Transition Facilitators and they will assist you with navigating the various resources in town. Whether you need one time assistance or on-going assistance we can tailor your experience to your needs. Please call 970-449-5191 to schedule an appointment.

Are you a father? If yes, then come be a part of this new community group! The first meeting will introduce you to the vision of this group, other fathers and a whole new way of looking at fatherhood! Snacks and child activities will be provided!
H2 Homework Helpers
Daily starting 01/20 – 05/09 – 4pm-6pm
This is an after-school educational enrichment program for students K-12 who would benefit from small-group or private tutoring. Our wonderful tutors will facilitate fun and engaging educational activities, and we will provide snacks and drop-in-style activities for the kiddos when they finish with homework or need a quick mental break! The program is free, and it’s fun and open to the community! Check with us as many schools within PSD offer transportation directly to The Matthews House CLC.

“MustHave” Computer Skills

You know everything is now on-line! If you feel behind, now is the time to catch up. n this free four week class you will explore your interests and skills, match those talents to the current job market, and create a job search plan. You will also learn about resume writing, interviewing techniques and job search strategies. Don’t get left behind!

GED Preparation Course

Together with Front Range Community College Center for Adult Learning, we offer GED Preparation and basic reading, writing, and math classes to adults 17 and older. Come and join us in a friendly and motivating environment and get ready to test for your GED! Activities will be provided for your young children while you learn!

Learn English With Us!

No classes March 17-21, 2014
ESL – This class is designed for beginning level English language learners with a focus on English needed for everyday life situations such as health, employment, shopping, housing, and other life skills. Students will work on improving their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in English. Come and have fun with us while we learn how to speak English in a small group setting! This program is free and open to the community. There will be a small fee for the course book required. Activities will be provided for your young children while you learn!
