Education & Employment Services

Job Training

Carrying on the rich historical legacy of the former ELTC, The Matthews House Education and Employment Services offer flexible and affordable classes that provide students with key skills needed for today’s workplace. In addition, the Education and Employment Services Career Path Facilitator provides customized support for our students, connecting them to community resources and reducing barriers as students work toward their short- and long-term goals. From entry-level job-seekers to established employees who wish to make a career change, all students are encouraged to work with the Career Path Facilitator to develop a personalized, sustainable career path plan.

The Education and Employment Services are in the midst of developing new course offerings and specific job training programs. Please stay tuned as new opportunities arise!

Restaurant Ready

Restaurant Ready is a program through the National Restaurant Association Education Foundation to prepare youth to succeed in a restaurant environment. The program equips the students with technical and soft skills to ensure dependability and quality in the workplace. The Matthews House was one of five organizations selected to participate in the pilot program.
